- Do we have the majors you’re interested in? In evaluating whether UNC would be a good fit for you, be sure that you look over the majors and minors we offer.
- Coming to UNC from a NC Community College? Find out more about how your coursework will transfer as well as recommended pathways for some of our most common majors.
- As a prospective student, you won’t be able to get with one of our general advisors. But, you may be able to speak with someone in your specific intended major. Some departments have advisors specific to them. Admissions may also be able to help you with how courses transfer, etc.

Funding Resources
- Students currently attending a community college with interest in applying to UNC are encouraged to consider scholarships made possible via Phi Theta Kappa (visit website) and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation (visit website).
- Most UNC scholarships are need-based, based on your FAFSA (Application for Financial Aid). But, you should look into The Office of Distinguished Scholarships.
