Carolina Firsts Graduation and Pinning Ceremony!

Each May, the Center for Student Success holds the Carolina Firsts Graduation and Pinning Ceremony which is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of graduating first-generation college students! At the ceremony, students are recognized and given a ‘Carolina Firsts’ pin which is placed upon them by an accompanying friend, family member, or a Center for Student Success staff member. Students will also have the opportunity to hear from an engaging keynote speaker who is either involved in work that supports first-generation college students or who is a first-generation college student themselves.
