SYNC (Sophomore Year Navigating Carolina) is a Living-Learning community committed to the personal and academic success of sophomores at Carolina. The program encourages collaborative learning, leadership development, major and career exploration and engagement in academic opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

SYNC focuses on the development of sophomore students in three areas: academic enrichment, career exploration, and leadership development. Through structured partnerships with the Office of Undergraduate Education, the Career Center, Housing and Residential Education, and Carolina Leadership Development, community participants will develop a better sense of self-awareness, satisfaction, and success towards navigating their sophomore year at Carolina.

If you want to enhance and gain key life skills to help prepare for your future, then SYNC is the community for you! You will have the unique opportunity to enroll in the EDUC 131 career exploration class, participate in the Career Development Certification program, benefit from in-house academic enrichment programs, network with faculty staff and community leaders, and create an innovate project for future sophomore students.
