Undergraduate Retention in the Office of Undergraduate Education offers a free individual academic learning assessment and consultation service to help undergraduate students develop an action plan for success at Carolina.
A one-on-one consultation appointment can help you:
- understand your academic attitudes, habits and behaviors
- identify and apply strengths to improve academic efficacy, resiliency and performance
- create a plan for academic success
- enhance your academic performance
What will your appointment include?
- A pre-consultation reflection
- An online assessment
- A one-on-one meeting and an individual action plan
To make an appointment, contact Candice Powell, Retention Specialist. Please expect your appointment to run for one hour (15 minutes to take your assessment and 45 minutes for consultation).
What should you expect during your appointment?
As part of your consultation, you will complete the INCLASS learning assessment and review your results. INCLASS results will help you identify academic behaviors and habits you might want to keep and others you might want to adjust.
What happens after your appointment?
We are dedicated to encouraging your academic success and growth. You will also be invited to complete a very brief post-consultation survey and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
